Hello, I'm Krisi Nenova :) In November 2021, I built a kiosk as a way to recreate a newspaper kiosk my grandad worked in when I was little and living in Sofia, Bulgaria.
With the help of a couple of friends and my dad, I built the kiosk in two days. The intention was to exhibit my work in it and take it down, however, while building it I saw the collaborative potential in the kiosk and it became the Kiosk Project.
Now the kiosk serves as a communal place for making and exhibiting work.
Artists of any discipline are welcome to propose a project and use the space. The kiosk is currently in the Leeds Beckett University's Fine Art studio, but I am hoping to be able to use it in a more publicly accessible space soon.
This website serves as a place to archive photographs, videos, sound, and text about the projects that are part of the Kiosk project. I also hope people see the kiosk and get some ideas for a project they'd like to realise :)
